New EBM Tool FAQ: Tools for determining vulnerability to/mitigating coastal hazards
This message was posted by: Sarah Carr
Hello EBM Tools Listserve participants,
For those of you who are new to the EBM Tools Listserve, this is a forum for sharing information about tools (software, methods, etc.) useful for implementing EBM in coastal and marine environments. We encourage you to post to the listserve ( <mailto: >) to find tools for your EBM needs, connect with other practitioners who have used various tools to learn about their strategies and experiences, and find collaborators for EBM tool projects.
The EBM Tools Network is working on answering a series of Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) about tools and are using this forum to gather input (see www.ebmtools.org/faqs.html<http://www.ebmtools.org/faqs.html> for the full list of questions and some answers below that). We are currently looking for suggestions of tools for determining community and ecosystem vulnerability to and mitigation measures for coastal hazards (including tools for predicting changes in vulnerability due to sea level rise and climate change). If you have tool suggestions or great case studies of where tools were used effectively, please send them to me at <mailto: >. I’ll compile them and send out a summary for further comment.
If you don’t wish to remain on the EBM Tools Listserve, send a message to <mailto: > with UNSubscribe in the subject line. This is NOT the same mailing list as our monthly EBM Tools Newsletters and webinar announcements and unsubscribing from this listserve will not affect whether you receive those newsletters/announcements.
If you know of anyone who would like to subscribe to this listserve, they can sign up at www.ebmtools.org/contact.html<http://www.ebmtools.org/contact.html>
Best wishes,
Sarah Carr
