Apps for EBM?

Dear EBM Tools Listserve participants,

As we ponder the recent loss of Steve Jobs, it seems fitting to think about the possible influence of the (relatively) new world of apps on EBM. I am very interested in getting feedback from the EBM community about current and potential uses of apps for coastal and marine management. Are there any apps that you currently use for your work? Are there apps that you would like to see developed that don't exist right now? Is there any role for apps in ecosystem-based management? What could they do well/adequately?

I'd be interested in any thoughts or information you could provide. I will summarize the feedback for the listserve as well as for a column in the Marine Ecosystems and Management newsletter.
