I received an inquiry about long-term social and economic monitoring in the coastal/marine environment from Petina Pert of CSIRO ( <mailto: >)? If anyone knows of any resources (literature, similar programs, indicators, etc.), can you send them to Petina? Her initial inquiry and contact information is below.

Hi Sarah,

In Australia, Queensland we are currently undertaking a new project looking at developing a long term social and economic monitoring program for the Great Barrier Reef. I am currently undertaking a preliminary literature review of what other similar long term programs in the coastal/marine environment have been developed around the word and associated indicators people are measuring. Are you able to circulate this email to see if there are any such programs in the US and any grey literature etc, websites that people can refer me to?
