Seeking trainers for EBM and EDA training in Chile and Peru
This message was posted by: Sarah Carr
Dear EBM Tools Listserve participants,
The GEF-funded project 'Towards Ecosystem Based Management of the Humboldt Current Large Marine Ecosystem (HCLME)' is operating in Chile and Peru to set up a Strategic Action Programme with Transboundary and Ecosystem Based Diagnoses leading towards an EBM approach to HCLME conservation in terms of improved biodiversity, certified fisheries and better coordinated multi-sectoral management. The project is seeking trainings in Spanish on EBM concepts and strategies for performing Ecosystem Diagnostic Analyses (EDAs). EDAs are based on available scientific and socio-economic information of the state of the environment and the drivers of its degradation and provide for identification and prioritization of interventions required to address underlying causes and barriers to EBM and critical knowledge gaps in the baseline information necessary for the development and implementation of the EBM.
There is a Terms of Reference (in Spanish) for the trainings sought. Please contact me for a copy of the ToR. And please contact the following people for additional information about the trainings sought:

Michelle Graco at <mailto: >
Best wishes,
Sarah
